Priorities in the location of multiple public facilities

چکیده
A collective decision problem is described by a set of agents, a pro le of single-peaked preferences over the real line and a number k of public facilities to be located. We consider public facilities that do not su¤er from congestion and are non-excludable. We provide a characterization of the class of rules satisfying Pareto-e¢ ciency, object-population monotonicity and sovereignty. Each rule in the class is a priority rule that selects locations according to a predetermined priority ordering among interest groups. We characterize each of the subclasses of priority rules that respectively satisfy anonymity, hiding-proofness and strategy-proofness. In particular, we prove that a priority rule is strategy-proof if and only if it partitions the set of agents into a xed hierarchy. Alternatively, any such rule can be viewed as a collection of xed-populations generalized peakselection median rules (Moulin, 1980), that are linked across populations, in a way that we describe. Equitable multi objective model for public facility location using RLTP technique
In the present research, a multi-objective model is proposed, which considers equity among the citizens in addition to the cost criterion. Then, the model will be solved using Reservation Level Tchebycheff Procedure (RLTP), which is one of the interactive multi-objective decision-making techniques. Subsequently, the obtained results will be compared with those of the single-objective models to ...
متن کاملScenario-based modeling for multiple allocation hub location problem under disruption risk: multiple cuts Benders decomposition approach
The hub location problem arises in a variety of domains such as transportation and telecommunication systems. In many real-world situations, hub facilities are subject to disruption. This paper deals with the multiple allocation hub location problem in the presence of facilities failure. To model the problem, a two-stage stochastic formulation is developed. In the proposed model, the number of ...

Introduction: The "life cycle" theory is the most important tool for understanding the relationship among characteristics of housing and households, which reflects the behavior of households in the city. The theory, households are defined based on characteristics such as household size, number of students, employment status, income, age of household, etc. Every household, based on what are thei...
متن کاملLocation-Allocation and Scheduling of Inbound and Outbound Trucks in Multiple Cross-Dockings Considering Breakdown Trucks
This paper studies multiple cross-dockings where the loads are transferred from origins (suppliers) to destinations (customers) through cross-docking facilities. Products are no longer stored in intermediate depots and incoming shipments are consolidated based on customer demands and immediately delivered to them to their destinations. In this paper, each cross-docking has a covering radius tha...

Facility location-network design (FLND) problem, which determines the location of facilities and also communication links between the demand and facility nodes, is arisen from the combination of the facility location and network design problems. This paper deals with fuzzy capacitated facility location-network design model which aims to select the facilities and candidate links in a way that yi...
متن کاملDynamic Facility Location with Stochastic Demand
Determination of facilities, such as factories or warehouses, location and availability conditions is one of the important and strategic decisions for an organization to make. Transportation costs that form a major part of goods price are dependent to this decision making. There are verity of methods have been presented to achieve the optimal locations of these facilities which are generally de...
